Cass County Pride

Mission

Cass County Pride strives to create safe spaces where LGBTQIA+ community members and their allies can find empowerment.

Our Story

Cass County Pride was founded during the Summer of 2024 by Emma Kesler – a wife, a mother of queer children, a volunteer for Free Mom Hugs, a career Nurse, an understander of mental health, and an LGBTQIA+ ally that fought to bring Cass County Pride to fruition.

Inspired by Emma, a small group of queer & straight folks who understood the need for continuous community-building and recognition of LGBTQIA+ people & allies in and around Cass County, Indiana came together to form Cass County Pride.

By September of 2024, the small group had done the spade work necessary to elevate CCP as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and public charity in the state of Indiana. The first Board of Directors for a Pride organization in Cass County was formed.

Throughout the year of 2025, Cass County Pride worked strenuously to build a membership base, connect with other local organizations and sister Prides, host first events, and center the organization's approach around a mutual aid model.

That important work continues today. The CCP Board of Directors is governed by the organization's established bylaws, and seeks to expand not only mutual aid efforts & programming, but the overall reach to LGBTQIA+ people & allies across the area.
